Ok, I am new to this so patient with me. Many people have been asking me what I'm working on right now, well I am designing t'shirts inspired by something my wife tracked down for me. For Christmas this year my son got a Kindle and when it's on standby it shows literary images i.e. Emily Dickenson, Agatha Christie etc. Anyway, one day it had this amazing image on it, and I asked my wife to help me track down what it was and where it came from. After she did some research on the letter design and some of the intricate design work we found it was from the Book of Kells which is a book made by celtic monks using a special calligraphy to create a rendition of the four gospels of the New Testament of the Bible. If you've never seen it you should google Book of Kells and check it out, it is extraordinary. The fluidity of color and lettering is incredible. My wife is half Irish and half Scotch so she is a big fan of anything celtic. I should have the first design finished in a couple of days and we'll put it on the Home page. Thanks for visting and come back soon! J.W.
Hello, My name is J.W. and I guess I should tell you a little about myself. I am married and have one son and they are my main inspiration. My son has this huge imagination and really is just live entertainment most of the time. My wife is my best friend and my amazing sounding board, she pretty much inspires me just by breathing. Be sure and check out my page Sterling Silver Dreams, it's a book I made for her a few years ago as a Christmas present and it pretty well describes her. Anyway, I started doodling when I was nine, and started really drawing at about fifteen. I've always been a big fan of Frank Frazetta and Roger Dean and Alex Ross and Adam Hughes. I mostly work with pencils and graphite and pens, but I am working with Prismacolor pens and watercolor pencils and really enjoy them. So for the moment that's all I can think to tell you, if you have any questions or thoughts I'd love to hear them. Have a great day. J.W.
